Mid-America Announces Preferred F Dividend Payable September 15, 2007

MEMPHIS, TN (REIT Media) August 20, 2007 - Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. (NYSE:MAA) announced that the Board of Directors has declared a full month dividend of $0.1927 per outstanding share of its Series F Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock (NYSE: MAAPrF - News). The distribution is payable on September 15, 2007 to shareholders of record on September 1, 2007.
