American Financial Realty Trust Appoints Key Executives to Senior Management Team 
JENKINTOWN, PA (REIT Media) July 9, 2007 - American Financial Realty Trust (NYSE:AFR), today announced the appointment of three key executives to the Company's senior management team. Robert A. Henofer, a veteran property and asset management executive, has been appointed vice president of property management and Amy J. Doherty, an accomplished information technology executive, as been appointed vice president and chief information officer. Concurrently, the Company also announced the promotion of Susan Galletti to vice president of taxation.
Robert A. Henofer brings to AFR deep experience in the management and commercial investment of large diverse real estate portfolios. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) who has built an accomplished career with some of the Northeast's most prominent commercial real estate companies. Henofer previously served as head of asset management for M. Alfieri Company, a full-service, integrated commercial real estate development firm. Prior to that, Henofer was president and vice president for Delle Donne & Associates, a full-service property development, investment and management firm. Earlier in his career, Henofer was vice president of Michaels Development Company.
Henofer will report to Fred Arena, senior vice president of asset management.
Amy J. Doherty, an accomplished information technology systems executive, will oversee the Company's enterprise-wide technology platform. Doherty previously worked as a consultant for Merck & Co directing a high-profile clinical technology application integration project. Prior to that, Doherty served as vice president/process information officer, assistant vice president/global ERP solutions and technology relationship manager at GMAC Commercial Mortgage where she was responsible for a range of enterprise-wide data management projects and global technology applications.
The Company also announced the promotion of Susan Galletti to vice president of taxation. She is responsible for tax planning as well as REIT compliance. Ms. Galletti has been with American Financial Realty since October 2004. Prior to AFR, she served as director of finance for a Philadelphia commercial real estate company. Ms. Galletti also served as the corporate secretary for Vornado Realty Trust in New Jersey.
Galletti and Doherty will report to David Nettina, chief financial officer.
